{"id":19123,"date":"2020-08-27T09:52:28","date_gmt":"2020-08-27T07:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=19123"},"modified":"2020-08-27T09:52:29","modified_gmt":"2020-08-27T07:52:29","slug":"2020-update-of-the-eu-list-of-substances-under-monitoring-in-the-field-of-water-policy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/2020-update-of-the-eu-list-of-substances-under-monitoring-in-the-field-of-water-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"2020 update of the EU list of substances under monitoring in the field of water policy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"hover_box\"><div class=\"hover_box_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"scale-with-grid visible_photo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Cours-deau.png\" alt=\"2020 update of the EU list of substances under monitoring in the field of water policy\" width=\"\" height=\"\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"scale-with-grid hidden_photo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/actu_publication-rasff-2016_02.jpg\" alt=\"2020 update of the EU list of substances under monitoring in the field of water policy\" width=\"\" height=\"\"\/><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:32020D1161&amp;from=FR\">decision (EU) 2020\/1161<\/a> establishing the EU-wide vigilance list of substances subject to monitoring in the field of water policy under Directive 2008\/105\/EC was published on August 6, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Directive\n2008\/105\/EC sets environmental quality standards in the field of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\nestablishes a vigilance list of substances for which monitoring data must be\ncollected at European level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nsubstances selected are those that are likely to present a significant risk to\nthe aquatic environment and for which monitoring data are needed to assess the\nactual risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nCommission shall update the vigilance list every two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On\nthe basis of monitoring data obtained since 2018, the Commission wished to\nretain in this new list: Metaflumizone, Amoxicillin and Ciprofloxacin, due to\nthe insufficient amount of data obtained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During\nthe year 2019, the Commission collected data on a series of other substances\nthat could be included in the vigilance list.
