These organic compounds, naturally present in some plant species, can be used to protect themselves from environmental factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their analysis is the subject of a European Commission recommendation (n\u00b02015\/976\/EU) which provides for monitoring of the potential contamination of foodstuffs which may be caused by these Datura alkaloids.
