{"id":30602,"date":"2023-10-24T15:30:43","date_gmt":"2023-10-24T13:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=30602"},"modified":"2023-11-30T15:31:45","modified_gmt":"2023-11-30T14:31:45","slug":"new-fcd-microbiological-criteria-for-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/new-fcd-microbiological-criteria-for-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"New FCD microbiological criteria for 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"hover_box\"><div class=\"hover_box_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"scale-with-grid visible_photo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Fruits-l\u00e9gumes-04.png\" alt=\"New FCD microbiological criteria for 2024\" width=\"\" height=\"\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"scale-with-grid hidden_photo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/actu_publication-rasff-2016_02.jpg\" alt=\"New FCD microbiological criteria for 2024\" width=\"\" height=\"\"\/><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The FCD (F\u00e9d\u00e9ration du Commerce et de la Distribution) has published its new specifications for 2024:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Microbiological criteria applicable to distributor brands, first-price brands and raw materials in their initial industrial packaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This 2024 version includes the following new features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; In part 4 &#8211; Microbiological analysis methods, the crossed-out section has been removed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One-box in-house methods are accepted for specific micro-organisms and matrices for which a study has been carried out <s>(and submitted to COFRAC for validation), <\/s>except for criteria arising from regulation 2073\/2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; The Listeria monocytogenes criterion has been added to the &#8220;olives not subjected to heat treatment&#8221; category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is set at <strong>100 CFU\/g <\/strong>at reception and at distribution BBD\/DDM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; The following comment has been added for sterilised and UHT dairy products:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The UHT treatment is carried out by a treatment sufficient to ensure the microbiological stability of the products after an incubation period of fifteen days at 30\u00b0C or seven days at 55\u00b0C in a closed container, or after any other method demonstrating that the appropriate heat treatment has been applied (Regulation (EC) No 853\/2004).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Some product names have been changed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Categories<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Former commodity name<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>New product name with addition or clarification<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>2.
