{"id":32827,"date":"2024-04-04T16:35:46","date_gmt":"2024-04-04T14:35:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=32827"},"modified":"2024-07-03T16:36:38","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T14:36:38","slug":"eu-pesticides-control-programme-2025-2026-and-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/eu-pesticides-control-programme-2025-2026-and-2027\/","title":{"rendered":"EU Pesticides Control Programme 2025, 2026 and 2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"hover_box\"><div class=\"hover_box_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"scale-with-grid visible_photo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Fruits-legumes-Cereales.jpg\" alt=\"EU Pesticides Control Programme 2025, 2026 and 2027\" width=\"\" height=\"\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"scale-with-grid hidden_photo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/actu_publication-rasff-2016_02.jpg\" alt=\"EU Pesticides Control Programme 2025, 2026 and 2027\" width=\"\" height=\"\"\/><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/?uri=OJ%3AL_202400989&amp;qid=1712129616874\"><strong>Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024\/989<\/strong><\/a> concerning a coordinated multiannual Union control programme for 2025, 2026 and 2027 to ensure compliance with maximum levels of pesticide residues in and on foodstuffs of plant and animal origin and to assess consumer exposure to such residues has just been published.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This regulation will come into force on <strong>January 1<sup>er<\/sup> 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thirty to forty foodstuffs make up the main components of the EU diet. Given that pesticide use evolves considerably over a three-year period, pesticides need to be monitored in these foodstuffs over a series of three-year cycles to assess consumer exposure and the application of EU legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The inspection will cover 32 different foodstuffs, for a total of 683 samples to be analyzed per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The targeted matrices will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 2025: apples, strawberries, peaches, wine (red or white), lettuces, head cabbage, tomatoes, spinach, oats, barley, cow&#8217;s milk and pork fat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 2026: oranges, pears, kiwis, cauliflower, onions, carrots, potatoes, beans (dried), rye grains, brown rice (husked rice), poultry fat and cattle liver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 2027: table grapes, bananas, grapefruit, eggplants, broccoli, melons, mushrooms, sweet peppers\/sweet peppers, wheat, virgin olive oil, bovine fat and chicken eggs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Annex I Part C of the regulation lists the <strong>196 molecules <\/strong>to be tested in foodstuffs <strong>of plant origin<\/strong>.
