{"id":390901,"date":"2024-09-16T10:50:04","date_gmt":"2024-09-16T08:50:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=390901"},"modified":"2024-09-24T10:53:23","modified_gmt":"2024-09-24T08:53:23","slug":"alert-and-cooperation-network-acn-2023-annual-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/alert-and-cooperation-network-acn-2023-annual-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Alert and Cooperation Network (ACN) 2023 Annual Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"hover_box\"><div class=\"hover_box_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"scale-with-grid visible_photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Agroalimentaire.png\" alt=\"Agroalimentaire\" width=\"800\" height=\"542\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"scale-with-grid hidden_photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Design-sans-titre-12.png\" alt=\"Design sans titre (12)\" width=\"700\" height=\"400\"\/><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2021, the <strong>Alert and Cooperation Network (ACN) <\/strong>has facilitated the exchange of administrative information and cooperation between Member States on official controls in the agri-food chain via the iRASFF platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It includes :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the <strong>Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) <\/strong>network, responsible for non-conformities with a potential health risk;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the <strong>Administrative Assistance and Cooperation (AAC) <\/strong>network, responsible for non-compliance without health risk;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the FFN <strong>(Food Fraud <\/strong>Network<strong>)<\/strong>, responsible for suspected fraud.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>plant health <\/strong>network <strong>(RSP), <\/strong>integrated in 2023, responsible for non-conformities relating to plant health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/food.ec.europa.eu\/document\/download\/911d49f2-b3ef-4752-8ea3-5f20dbbe9945_en?filename=acn_annual-report_2023.pdf\"><strong>2023 annual report<\/strong><\/a> has just been published, with notification figures for each network:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>4,695 <\/strong>for RASFF<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3,166 <\/strong>for AAC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>758 <\/strong>for FFN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>128 <\/strong>for RSP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/food.ec.europa.eu\/document\/download\/c235fad7-df80-4b80-9989-dfda920d0463_en?filename=acn_report_2023_overview.pdf\"><strong>infographic<\/strong><\/a> summarizing the 2023 results of these 4 networks can also be found on the European Commission website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In particular, the report details the matrix categories as well as the hazards and non-conformities most notified in 2023 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/veille-reglementaire\/bilan-annuel-rasff-2023\/\">Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF)<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/veille-reglementaire\/bilan-annuel-2023-sur-la-fraude-alimentaire\/\">Food Fraud Network (FFN).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Phytocontrol&#8217;s experts can help you deal with these issues of fraud and food safety.
