{"id":521915,"date":"2026-04-10T09:02:38","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T07:02:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=521915"},"modified":"2026-04-10T09:02:39","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T07:02:39","slug":"changes-to-mrls-regulations-2026-742-and-2026-75","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/en\/regulatory-watch\/changes-to-mrls-regulations-2026-742-and-2026-75\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes to MRLs: Regulations 2026\/742 and 2026\/75"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"hover_box\"><div class=\"hover_box_wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"scale-with-grid visible_photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/framboise.png\" alt=\"framboise\" width=\"700\" height=\"400\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"scale-with-grid hidden_photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/actu_publication-rasff-2016_02.jpg\" alt=\"drapeau_ue\" width=\"700\" height=\"400\"\/><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two new regulations amending Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005 have just been published:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Regulation (EU) 2026\/742 amending the MRLs for cyflufenamid, fenazaquin and nicotine in certain products.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cyflufenamid:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The MRLs have been increased for blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, redcurrants, rosehips, azaroles\/Mediterranean medlars, black elderberries and parsley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fenazaquin:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The MRLs have been increased for tomatoes, sweet peppers and aubergines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nicotine:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The provisional MRL of 0.5 mg\/kg for nicotine in tea, set by Regulation (EU) 2025\/115 and deemed safe, is maintained until 22 February 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monitoring data show that a planned reduction to 0.4 mg\/kg after February 2026 is not feasible, particularly due to sources of contamination other than pesticides (environmental contamination, manufacturing or endogenous production).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Regulation will apply from <strong>20 April 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Regulation (EU) 2026\/751 amending Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005 as regards the MRLs for flupyradifurone and potassium phosphonate in certain products.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This Regulation reinstates the MRLs set by Regulation 2025\/581 for flupyradifurone and phosphonic acid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MRLs set by Regulation (EU) 2025\/581 were replaced by those in Regulation (EU) 2024\/2640 due to an error in the order of application of the dates of the two texts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regulation 2025\/581 came into force on 17 April 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regulation 2024\/2640, published just before, came into force on 30 April 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The regulation will apply from <strong>4 April 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that your Phytocontrol laboratory offers pesticide analysis under COFRAC accreditation; you can consult our COFRAC Technical Annex No. 1-1904, available in your customer area or on the COFRAC website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Need technical, regulatory or pricing information?
