{"id":6190,"date":"2018-01-30T14:17:40","date_gmt":"2018-01-30T13:17:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=6190"},"modified":"2018-04-17T14:18:44","modified_gmt":"2018-04-17T12:18:44","slug":"control-of-nanoparticles-by-the-dgccrf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/en\/news\/control-of-nanoparticles-by-the-dgccrf\/","title":{"rendered":"Control of Nanoparticles by the DGCCRF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Since 2016, the DGCCRF has been monitoring the presence of nanoparticles in food and non-food products.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On January 16, 2018, the DGCCRF presented the results of the controls carried out on nanomaterials in foodstuffs and cosmetic products at the National Consumer Council.<\/p>\n<p>In cosmetic products:<br \/>\nOf 40 samples analyzed, 35 revealed the presence of nanoparticles.<br \/>\nThe DGCCRF has identified non-compliances in the labelling of certain cosmetic products analysed (presence of nanomaterials, Carbon Black and others, not labelled).<br \/>\nAccording to EC Regulation 1223\/2009 on cosmetic products, Article 19 point 1) g): &#8220;Any ingredient present in the form of a nanomaterial must be clearly indicated in the list of ingredients. The ingredient name is followed by the word &#8220;nano&#8221; in square brackets.<\/p>\n<p>In foodstuffs :<br \/>\nThe presence of nanoparticles was detected in 29 of the 74 food products analysed.<br \/>\nOnly one product mentioned, on its label, the presence of all identified nanomaterials.<br \/>\nAccording to EU Regulation 1169\/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers, Article 18 point 3: &#8220;All ingredients in the form of manufactured nanomaterials shall be clearly indicated in the list of ingredients. The ingredient names are followed by the word &#8220;nano&#8221; in square brackets.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this first series of checks is to ensure that professionals comply with labelling obligations under current EU regulations.<br \/>\nIn the event of non-compliance, the DGCCRF will require the labels to be brought into conformity and may go as far as the commitment to penal sanctions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since 2016, the DGCCRF has been monitoring the presence of nanoparticles in food and non-food products.
