New texts amending EU regulation 396/2005 have been published in the OJEU.
This regulation lowers the MRLs for napropamide, pyridaben and tebufenpyrad in foodstuffs.
Napropamide :
MRLs for other berries and small fruit are reduced from 0.02 mg/kg to 0.01 mg/kg.
MRLs for herbs and edible flowers are reduced from 0.05 to 0.02 mg/kg.
Pyridabene :
MRLs for pome fruits are raised from 0.9 mg/kg to 0.15 mg/kg.
MRLs for apricots and peaches are reduced from 0.3 mg/kg to 0.01 mg/kg.
MRL for beans (with pods) reduced from 0.2 mg/kg to 0.01 mg/kg.
Tebufenpyrad:
MRLs for apricots and peaches reduced from 0.4 to 0.3 mg/kg.
MRL for table grapes reduced from 0.6 mg/kg to 0.4 mg/kg.
The MRL for beans (with pods) is reduced from 0.3 mg/kg to 0.01 mg/kg.
The MRL for hops is reduced from 1.5 mg/kg to 0.05 mg/kg.
The regulation applies from 28/04/2025.
Article 2 of this regulation specifies that the old MRLs will continue to apply to products obtained or imported into the EU before April 28, 2025, with the exception of the MRLs applicable to tebufenpyrad in table grapes.
This regulation increases the MRLs for clopyralid, difenoconazole and flonicamid in foodstuffs.
Clopyralid :
MRLs for honey increased from 0.05 mg/kg to 0.15 mg/kg.
Difenoconazole :
MRLs for rye and sorghum increased from 0.1 mg/kg to 0.3 mg/kg.
Flonicamide :
The MRL for potatoes is reduced from 0.09 mg/kg to 0.2 mg/kg.
MRLs for lettuces and lettuce-like greens and spinach and similar leaves are raised from 0.07 mg/kg to 0.6 mg/kg.
MRL for beans (without pods) increased from 0.03 mg/kg to 0.7 mg/kg.
MRLs for cardoons, celery, fennel and rhubarb are raised from 0.03 mg/kg to 0.3 mg/kg.
The regulation applies from 28/10/2024.
This regulation increases the MRLs for azoxystrobin, famoxadone, futriafol, mandipropamid and mefentrifluconazole in foodstuffs.
Azoxystrobin :
The MRL for papayas has been raised from 0.3 mg/kg to 4 mg/kg.
The MRL for chicory roots has been raised from 0.09 mg/kg to 1 mg/kg.
Famoxadone :
The MRL for hops is raised from 40 mg/kg to 50 mg/kg.
Flutriafol :
MRL on almonds increased from 0.02 mg/kg to 0.8 mg/kg.
MRL on barley increased from 0.15 mg/kg to 1.5 mg/kg.
Mandipropamide :
The MRL for gherkins is raised from 0.01 mg/kg to 0.2 mg/kg.
MRLs for pumpkins and watermelons are raised from 0.3 mg/kg to 0.4 mg/kg.
Mefentrifluconazole :
MRLs have been raised on oranges, lemons, limes, mandarins, nuts, apricots, cherries, peaches, plums, wine grapes, strawberries, bramble fruit, blueberries, currants, rose hips, black elderberries, kumquats, avocados, bananas, mangoes, papayas, potatoes, root vegetables, tropical tuber vegetables, bulb vegetables, Solanaceae and Malvaceae, cucurbits with inedible skins, sweet corn, beans (with pods), peas (without pods), dried beans, dried lentils, linseed, poppy seed, sesame seed, sunflower seed, rapeseed, soybeans, mustard seeds, cottonseeds, safflower seeds, borage seeds, camelina seeds, barley, millet, rice, rye, sorghum, wheat, coffee beans, ginseng, sugar cane, and the roots of
