New texts amending Regulation EC 396/2005 have just been published in the OJEU.
- EU Regulation 2024/1314: Dithianon
MRLs for apples and pears have been reduced.
They are reduced from 3 mg/kg to 1.5 mg/kg.
The regulation applies from 05/12/2024.
- EU Regulation 2024/1318: Prothioconazole
MRLs for sugar beet and chicory root have been increased.
They have been increased from 0.01 mg/kg to 0.03 mg/kg.
The regulation applies from 05/06/2024.
- EU Regulation 2024/1342 and its corrigendum: deltamethrin, metalaxyl, thiabendazole and trifloxystrobin.
Deltamethrin :
MRLs have been lowered on citrus fruit, nuts, pears, bramble fruit, kiwifruit, potatoes, sweet peppers/sweet peppers, melons, watermelons, head cabbage, lettuces, broad-leaved escarole/endives, endives/chicory, herbs and edible flowers (except chervil), artichokes, dried beans, oil seeds (except rapeseed), oil fruits (except olives for oil), infusions from flowers, infusions from leaves and other aerial parts, infusions from any other part of the plant, cocoa beans, hops, spices (except spices from roots or rhizomes) and sugar beet.
MRLs have been increased on plums, mangoes, papayas, tomatoes, okra/cabbage and carob/St John's bread.
Metalaxyl :
MRLs have been lowered on lemons, limes, mandarins, apples, pears, table grapes, onions, sweet peppers, melons, watermelons, artichokes, soya beans and cocoa beans.
MRLs have been increased for wine grapes, palm kernels and peppercorns.
Thiabendazole :
MRLs for avocados have been reduced from 20 mg/kg to 15 mg/kg.
MRLs for papayas have been reduced from 10 mg/kg to 0.01 mg/kg.
Trifloxystrobin :
MRLs have been lowered for passion fruit/maracudjas, leafy cabbage, fresh beans (without pods) and oats.
MRLs have been increased for sweet peppers/peppers, herbs, chicory root and honey.
The regulation applies from 11/12/2024.
Article 2 of this regulation specifies that the old MRLs will continue to apply to products produced in or imported into the EU before 11 December 2024, with the exception of the MRLs for deltamethrin in pears, potatoes and lettuce and thiabendazole in papayas.
- EU Regulation 2024/1355: benzovindiflupyr, chlorantraniliprole, emamectin, quinclorac, spiromesifen and triflumuron.
Benzovindiflupyr :
MRLs for blueberries have been increased from 0.01 mg/kg to 2 mg/kg.
MRLs for ginseng have been increased from 0.05 mg/kg to 0.3 mg/kg.
Chlorantraniliprole :
MRLs for avocados have been increased from 0.01 mg/kg to 0.3 mg/kg.
MRLs for tea have been increased from 0.05 mg/kg to 80 mg/kg.
Emamectin :
MRLs for kale have been reduced from 0.03 mg/kg to 0.2 mg/kg.
MRLs for tea have been increased from 0.01 mg/kg to 0.09 mg/kg.
Quiclorac :
MRLs for cranberries have been increased from 0.01 mg/kg to 1.5 mg/kg.
MRLs for rapeseed have been increased from 0.02 mg/kg to 0.15 mg/kg.
Spiromesifene :
MRLs for oranges have been increased from 0.02 mg/kg to 0.15 mg/kg.
MRLs for mangoes have been increased from 0.02 mg/kg to 0.4 mg/kg.
MRLs for beans (without pods) have been increased from 0.02 mg/kg to 0.05 mg/kg.
Triflumuron :
MRLs for soya beans have been increased from 0.01 mg/kg to 0.1 mg/kg.
The regulation applies from 11/06/2024.
